Is this real Japanese?+
Yes. Japanese writes foreign names in katakana, a phonetic script, so that is how a Japanese person would write your name. The kanji spelling (ateji) uses characters with real Japanese readings that sound like your name, chosen for their meaning. A Japanese reader will read it as your name and understand each character.
Kanji, katakana or both?+
Kanji give the meaning and the strongest visual. Katakana is how your name is actually written in Japan. "Both" prints the kanji large with the katakana underneath, so the shirt reads correctly and still looks striking.
What if my name is not in your dictionary?+
The generator still works for any name: rare names are composed with the same rules (real readings, no unlucky characters). Popular names come from our curated dictionary and are listed in the name guide.
Which size should I take?+
See the size guide above. The t-shirt is true to size; the hoodie runs large, so if you are between two sizes take the smaller one.
How long does delivery take, and how much is it?+
Shipping is included. Each piece is printed for you in 3–5 working days, then delivered 5–10 days later in Europe and North America. You get an email with the tracking link when it ships.
Can I return it?+
Every piece is made to order with your name, so we cannot take back a change of mind. If it arrives damaged or with a print defect, write to us within 14 days with a photo and we will replace or refund it.
How do I wash it?+
Inside out at 30 °C, no tumble dryer, and iron inside out without ironing over the print. The print then lasts as long as the garment.
